New Garrafeira	A new garrafeira has opened in the Rua do Barranco next to the road to Monte Dourado. They have a wide range of good quality Wines and other spirits and have very competitive prices. It is well sorted but they do not sell tobacco yet. See the photos here!
New Florist	Also a newcomer to the Rua do Barranco is the florist "O Atelier" situated next to the Garrafeira. This little shop has a lot more to offer than flowers. Handycraft including all sorts of national ceramics and paintings are all part of the colourful range the Atelier has to offer. They are open from Monday to Saturday 9 am untill 2 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm. They feature weekly promotions and supply colours for weddings and anniversaries. See the photos here!
New Bakery	A new bakery has opened behind the post office. The tasteful decoration and warm service turn this bakery into more than just a place to buy bread. Just sit down and enjoy a cake and a warm cup of coffee while Carvoeiro bustles by. They are open from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm.
Sinfonia closed, Cheers opened	New bar next to Oficina called Cheers.
Carvoeiro is Full	Villa agencies report they have reached 95% to 100%! Carvoeiro is fuller than ever and parking and driving is worse than ever. The police have no chance of getting the situation under control so the people just park as they see fit. Estrada do Farol in the restaurant area is thus transformed into a one lane street. I advise people coming from Centeanes to go past Algar Seco and past the church to get into the Rua do Barranco or to simply avoid driving through Carvoeiro at all.
Strip Club "Gordon Blanc"	For the very first time in the history of Praia do Carvoeiro: A strip club american style. The unseemingly entrance leads down a flight of stairs and through a passage into the heart of the erotic playground. Inside you can enjoy a drink in very comfortable atmosphere. The pole in the middle of the stage is the only thing that stands out and rminds people they are in a strip club. Later in the evening the lights dim and the music fades as the discjokey announces the first act. As the night gets older and the girls have made their appearances the more apreciative customers surrender to the temptation of a private lap dance in a small room just offset from the stage. So next time you want to kick back, relax and enjoy a natural display of beauty, you might want to drop by the Gordon Blanc. The club is located in the Rua do Farol just infront of the market. Happy hour is from 10:30 pm to Midnight.
