Having just returned from another wonderful week in Carveiro, I would just like to add how much we enjoyed our visits to Sully's, always very friendly and a nice atmosphere and oh! those double vodkas and lemondades! But despite kippers being on the menu, unfortunately the young lady did not understand why they appeared as she had never ever seen them! Well worth a visit but bit disappointed with the coffee as it is "instant" but apart from that, everything very good indeed.

This will be my second visit to Carveiro, I came here with the family last May, but are coming with friends this year, we'll be coming late May/early June this year, I've never been to Sully's before, of what I've read so far it's sounds lovely, I'm surprised I never tried it last year!!!! I've briefly looked at what sort of food they serve and can't wait to try, but I didn't see any veggie selection there as one of my friends is veggie, what sort of vegetarian food do they serve there? But leave your comments about that Sully's would be crap out of this guest book. And if so than be a man speak out your name and tell us how you feel the next time you are there!! I have just read the last two comments from 25th Oct from someone who could use better language! Perhaps if Rascals Bar had their own guest book, people would not have to use this guestbook to write comments for Rascals. Whoever wrote the last two comments, was surely offended by what someone said about Rascals, but may I say that it was fans from Rascals who started this war in the first place! Everyone has their own preference of where they prefer to drink and socialize, but do they really need to post notes on this guest book slating Sully's! Carvoeiro is a small place with lot's of businesses trying to make a living. There is no need to be petty. Get on with your own lives and enjoy!
This is message is for the twat who slagged off Karoke at Rascals. Lets get some things straight. Karoke is a family Fun time thing and apart of that is the bad singing thats what its about you dummy! Places like Rascals and Round Up take alot of Money when the Karoke is on as its so popular. Why would you want to sit in Sullys a bad Taste Bristish Boozer the size of a peanut with a load of Sad Ex pats who just drink themselves stupid. Its dingy Dark and why on earth would you want to get out the Sun to go in there, when Portugal is all about the sun is beyond me. Rascals and Tapas both have brilliant views and great food. Sully's has the most Britsih Menu in town besides from Smilers and there Full English is the worst ever so how can you call Rascals a UK experience get with it mate. You cant compare bars like Officna or Rascals with any other as they are the best bars in Carvoeiro read the forum on Carvoeiro.com the people know!!!
How can that dude slate rascals over sullys there is no way they compare! Karoke is a family choice and if that twat knew anything he would know that it is at Officna and ROUND UP as well. People that cant sing make Karoke what it is you dummy! And as for get out of the sun i thought that was what Portugal was all about the Sun, who wants to sit in a dinge hole the size of a peanut with sad ex pats who drink all day and chat shit! You need a bar with a view where you can see the beauty of the town and smell the fresh air. Places like Rascals Tapas and Officna Make Carvoiero what it is the food is brilliant at Rascals and Tapas compared to the UK skank whole Smilers the food there is a joke the service is crass and its a hole. Get out of the heat and enjoy a cool drink in Sullys with the best staff in town (22 years cant be wrong) ...Its places like Sullys that make Carvoeiro...as for Rascals..its says it all in the name..who wants karaoke (wouldnt mind if they could sing...its crap) The UK experience!

Hi there, If anyone is looking for a very nice place to have dinner regardless of the fact that you are with a family or with your partner, you should really try O Castelo up the road next to Sully's , you can't miss it! we spent a week in Carveiro last October and rounded off every evening except one in Sully's. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Flavio, who serves everyone with a smile, no matter how busy he is. next time we visit Carveiro we will be in sully's again. Great bar, great atmosphere , highly recommended.

I know that Sully moved back to UK a fair few years ago (at least 8 ish). I saw him in Carvoeiro in September 1999, in Jailhouse one night. He was on holiday with his girlfriend/wife(?) for 2 weeks. At that time he was still living back in UK but not sure whereabouts.
