The Parque
Municipal do Sítio das Fontes, "Site of Fountains" 12
km. from Carvoeiro, is a popular picnic area for locals. A millars house
and an old water-wheel can be seen.
You'll also find a amphitheater used on
various occasions along with a playground and many picnic tables.

Directions (from Carvoeiro);
Take the road towards Lagoa and go left
on the EN 125 main road towards Portimao for a few hundred meters. Then
take the last exit in the round-about towards "Modelo" and Estombar.
Turn right into the village of Estombar
and follow the road to the right for a few kilometres. You'll find the
Fontes sign posted on the right hand side and must turn left. |
