By popular request Mr Know it All is back again. Of course Mr KIA knows Grenville but hasn't been close enough to test the smelly bit out lately. I am sure he is ok though. Good firework display planned in Praia da Rocha/Ferragudo on New Years Eve for those that are interested. Happy Christmas to all my readers

...a all this talk of nostalgia and stray dogs... Does anyone still remember "Alfaiate", Carvoeiro's mascot? He was actually not a stray dog as he had an owner nicknamed Torralta, but we still all fed him. He was great to watch chasing bofia and guarda fiscal, specially if they were on motorcycles. I noticed that the hotle Solfeiras was listed in your hotel section. I don't want to make a booking immediately so the phone number is useless. Can anyone tell us of a travel company in the UK that offers this accomodation. We visited years ago and it was the best holiday ever.

Dear friends , lovers of Carvoeiro.. I was in Portimao in summer 1999 and it was a great holiday . I love your cowntry , BUT : how many cats and dogs without a refuge I saw !!!! I red that first we must feed the Human , but the question is : what kind of human are we if we dont care about these little friends ? Me and my girl Lucy have passed hours to feed the cats and dogs lost in the street ..
