Mensaje a la amiga (26.05.99) de Mario. Me marché de Carvoeiro en Octubre '89 a Inglatera. Me casé, y cuatro años más tarde me dovorcié. Después en Junio '95 fue de vacaciones a Tarragona (España). Tiger WAS Mels dog but he disowned it when it decapitated a load of chickns and he ended up in Portimao Court. Mr Know-it-All was a witness for the defence. The Portimao Police took Tigers paw prints and found him also responsible for raping a duck the previous year. Kim from the Meantime used to feed Tiger as Mel wouldn't. All the spare food in Mels was down to the cockroaches. Alcazar is up the top near Quinta do Alto I think. Rocha Brava is ok. All for now K-i-A

Hurrah the train is on the web cam. The last time we were there we went on it (in the rain!) and there was a danish guy and his kid on it and before we set off he asked the driver how long the ride would take. But the driver thought he meant how long until we set off and he said "only 5 minutes" Ha ha! 45 mins or so later we got back to the square with one hugely pissed off danish guy whose family had finished the lunch they had been waiting for at the tres Jotas when he set off. It was really funny!!!

To the person with 4 generations etc etc The thing about Portugal (which these stupid english people here don't seem to be able to do) is that they live kids and taking them to eat with you in almost ANY restaurant is just not a problem. There is always something on the menu that kids will eat and you never get stared at if they make a noise. God I HATE England so much sometimes. Have a lovely holiday.

So Jamie, your friend seems to think that you've been chatting me up, unsuccessfully I'm afraid. Don't worry kid, I won't tell anyone. So what is this dirt on Jamie, (I'm assuming that's his real name)? I have been going to Carvoeiro virtually every year of my life and I love it there and can't wait 'til June when I finally go with my babe Craig and my friends Kat and Susie, (Hi Susie thanks for the message). I don't know Winston Churchill school. I'm at a school in Addlestone, prize to the first one to guess the name, Craig you can't enter! I would recomend lunch at the O Stop restaurant at Centianes beach for the family as it will welcome children and it is really nice menu and not too fancy or expensive. I also recomend Slide and Splash or The Big One but only if it is now windy, coz you can get really chilly queuing up if it is. Take care everyone, love you Craig, from Catherine

Cafe Ciclo is the BEST place to eat in the world. Especially if you have to wait 4 hours for a bus as is often the case in Lagoa. They do lovely Berbigão. Oh how I wish I was there right now. Ho Hum maybe next year. Byeeeeeeee

Ok, I'll have you know I have been revising hard for my exams (1st year uni exams), well, most of the time anyway. Petrology and sedimentology aren't the easiest thing to study for.

The best place to eat is somewhat outside Carvoeiro...LA ROMANCE ! It is on the old road toward Estombar (going toward Portimao).

I would advice everyone NOT to go an eat at MAXIME, where I got served a steak that was terrible, my wife even saw a mouse in the restroom. That place is a big no no, unless you are into wildlife !

I tried Skycars of Watford, Northamptonshire but they only do home/office to airport jobs. Directory enquiries didn't know of any Skycars in Watford, Hertfordshire. Can my informant give me any more leads?

I am now thinking of picking up a car at Faro and keeping it for the week. It will give the two of us a chance to explore some of the wonderful beaches you seem to have there.

Firstly, Eat, Drink and Be merry on the Lemon Ice cream at Palacio do Cône.

Thirdly, I stood outside on the junction for 20 mins waiting for the camera and my dad came to pick us up at 11.58!

Fourthly, Marinha (before beach turn off) and Roma (between the large supermarket and the crazy place called Benijil!) are nice resturants. Dad paid though so not sure prices but most things are fairly resonable anyway!
