DAVE O CANTINHO is very good for a special dinner A MARISQUEIRA going up the hill towards Centianes is good for inexpensive lunches and dinners A good bar to have a drink in is across from AUTOCERRO, I think it is called IMPROVISTO, it is owned by two brothers called NUNO and PAULO DOM PIPO in Monte Carvoeiro is also good to eat CURVA DE CASINO good for dinner But you should try others and let us know what they are like

TIA, I am much better now, and up to my old tricks. My favourite game is not letting anyone sleep, I play that game every night, it´s really "fixe". My second best game is pulling wine bottles onto the floor and smashing them, I am so quick that mummy only has to take her eyes off of me for a second, so far I have managed two but I am always on the look out for a chance to get a third! I would like to say thank you to all the nurses from Portimão hospital, who looked after me when I was ill, they were all very kind. Lots of love Jorge Miguel, 10 months!

Dear Denise, The only exsisting resort right above Praia do Carvalho is Clube Atlantico which is very nice, popular and well maintained, I don't know when it was constructed. Subject: Finding my father's old dream place
Dear Sir, Many years ago (in the 1970s) my father was involved in the development of a villa/townhouse resort above the beach at Carvalho. Unfortunately, a government crisis intervened with the plans and his company was not allowed to complete the project. The development was called Alfanzina. I was wondering if you would know anything about what became of this complex. A few villas had already been built. Did this become Algar Seco Parque? Or is it still a private villa complex? I am asking because I hope to visit the area this March. I would love to take pictures of the place to show my Dad (who is now 80!). He fell in love with the area but was never able to return. I would greatly appreciate any response. By the way, I was so happy to discover your website. I found it very helpful and informative in planning our trip and trying to discover "Alfanzina" and the beach at Carvalho. Thanks for any help. Sincerely, Denise
