When I visited Carvoeiro in May 1999 I liked the nice coast line and the beautiful beaches. I can recommend the Vale of Centianes. It is a big, clean beach which is not too crowded, but I was also very disappointed of the beach Praia da Marinha. Former there have been beautiful stone formations like gates etc. Today some of them are crushed and broken. I do not know why. If you want to eat in Carvoeiro I have a very good advice in which restaurant you could go. The Happy´s in the main street offers delicious meals for good prices. The atmosphere it also very nice. If you would like to have some tips related with Carvoeiro or the Algarve, please write me. I visited this region by car for some weeks this year. F. ex. i was in Albufeira, Lagos or Sagres.
