25-09-00. Just returned from one week at Villa Plantana, Carvoeiro. Absolutely brilliant. Weather great. Town lovely. Villa excellent. Booked through Virgin Sun and would recommend any of their villa's in Carvoeiro. Can't wait to return again!

24.9.00. Have just returned having spent two weeks in the Almansor which we thought to be excellent. We enjoyed all our meals out, particularly those in O Tasco and O Cantinho. We also had some meals in Restaurante a Rede where the food is excellent providing you are prepared to wait as the service is slow but very friendly.

Just got back from Carvoeiro. Must recommend Dionisios just at the back of the country club. Great local restaurant eat and drink all you want for just 1300 scuds. Beat that!!

My boyfriend and I (soon to be fiance) are going to Carvoeiro for our honeymoon (we think) and want to know if it is a good place to go for this purpose. We would be staying at the Monte Carvoeiro Clube - does anyone have any personal info on this hotel - is it a great place, luxurious, or what? We want to be pampered and treated really well since it's our big week. Thanks for any info you all can enlighten us with.
