Just arrived back to UK having had a great week at carvoeiro. make sure you find HAPPY'S Restaurant up the hill (left)from Smilers bar. You won't get a better meal anywhere in town. But you'll have to book!Take the small boat trip to the caves off the beach it's well worth 10 Euro each. If you've got kids take them to Slide & Splash for a super day out. We'll be back some day.

Hi - I have just spent 2 wonderful weeks in carvoeiro(stayed in the apt. above cheers bar-would recommend it). We spent the days going around Silves, Lagos and into spain twice. Most evenings after dinner in Xico Ze/Mistral and California(best pizza this side of Italy) we drank mostly in Hemingways and cheers (both VERY NICE BARS with nice friendly staff). Have booked up again for October - Love it - The location is fantastic! Julie - Perth

Hi all, Just returned from Colina da Lapa Club, fantastic accomodation ideal for families, great atmosphere. Staff very friendly especially Victor, Roberto and Nelson. hiya! I have just returned from monte carvoeiro and had an amazin time. Anyone who stayed there for the first week of august will know me and my friend laura!!! we loved Luis and Sam at the cocktail garden.. and of course mike with the card tricks!! we love the chef william at the pizzaria right uder our appartment number 1!! we would have had him for dessert!! overall i loved this place an had an excellent holiday- miss it already. Hi there,

we have been in lovely Carvoeiro for a couple of weeks and enjoyed it very much. People, town, bars and restaurants are all special but just a few are rellly worth visiting more than one time. Best of all for me is "Wolf's Restaurante" in Monte Carvoeiro. Best value for money, fantastic ambience, friendly service and a very creative chef not to be missed. For a "special" cocktail visit Luis in "Cocktail Garden" in Monte Carvoeiro and Nuno in "Imprevisto Bar" Downtown Carvoeiro the place for locals and visitors. We have had a great time in Carvoeiro and we will return next year.

To whoever decides to read this! We visited Carvoeiro in July and had such a wonderful time. The 'village' has a great contrast of bars & restaurants. The best two bars are Imprevisto and The Cocktail Garden (Monte do Carvoeiro). Imprevisto serves great cocktails with complimentary peanuts which, after a couple of drinks, start to resemble fellow customers! Beware balloon-selling gypsies who convince you they are matadors... The Cocktail Garden keeps you entertained with possibly the clumsiest barman in Europe. Well worth a visit if you're partial to a daiquiri. If you're looking for a special restaurant, you can't do better than Roma, just a short drive out of the village. Great surroundings and fantastic food. Visit Mungo's bar for your English breakfast - say hello to Ainsley and ask to see his special glass from the Chinese restaurant! Watch him wipe his feet every time he goes inside - aah. Just got back from our first family holiday in Carvoeiro (stayed at Carvoeiro Sol). What a great time we had. Found the info and resources at http://www.carvoeiro.com really useful and the pictures at http://www.waddybear.com/ gave us a nice insight. Can't wait until next year.
