Just back from two weeks near Ferragudo. First time in the Algarve. Carvoeiro was our usual eating out spot, mainly because the kids want chips with everything! Nice town, though beginning to suffer from the usual tourist tat. Ferragudo still relatively unspoiled with good traditional eating. Very nice beaches. Great if you want a very quiet holiday.

What a bummer! I've been back in England for a fortnight now, and I'm really depressed after two great weeks in Carvoeiro. I'm going to book a flight back at the beginning of September, I can't stay away. Any ideas for affordable accomodation near the town centre? Hi to Vicky and Anna from the Jailhouse. For sure the PÁTIO Restaurant and PIU café is not the best restaurant in Carvoeiro. There much better for the relation Price/quality, and I have triyed most of the restaurants in Carvoeiro

If the PIU is so wonderful, how come the waiters short change the customers. If anyone goes there check your change to make sure it is right, if we want to leave a tip we will!

Just got back from sunny Carvoeiro and it was absolutely lovely. The worst part was coming home, back to reality with a bump, I hope to be back in September though. If you are looking for a reasonable priced restaurant, where they serve great food, go to Jota-Litas, just up the hill from Carvoeiro Square, the owners there are great fun. I wont be going on the website to often from now on, it brings back so many brilliant memories that its depressing. Ah well, I will keep on saving and hopefully will be back there soon.

Please excuse all the technical difficulties since last Thursday (July 1st), the problems was caused by a server shift at my Web hosting service. I haven't been able to access the Web site myself nor use the guest book or message board. Hopefully the problems are now fixed. Furthermore it seems that some mail have been lost (since July 1st), so if you have been awaiting answers, please send your mail again. My sincere apologies for all the inconvenience this must have posed, I am afraid that we are still pretty much living in the digital stone age, at least it seems as if only Neanderthals is employed at my Web hosting provider!
