At long last it's actually stopped raining here! Been home two weeks now and the tan's all but been washed away. May be physically back home but the heart's still in Carvoeiro after two fantastic weeks. My first time in Portugal but the second time for my wife - she told me how good it was but I couldn't have imagined just how good. Never eaten out so much and at so many good restaurants, Stone Steak and those fantastic flambe strawberries, Piu's and Mitch's to name but three, also a special mention for O Salmao - we ate there three times, the food was excellent (thanks Edward) - ask for the Sangria - it's absolutely WICKED and Christina's Scotugese accent is priceless! Can't wait for next year, or earlier if Lotto pays up!

Just returned from Carvoeiro from having two wonderful weeks with all the family, villa beautiful and village is still as lovely as ever wish i was their now. Good food in every bar we ate in. Sat here at home now very depressed!!!!

Hi, I'm a portuguese guy and I ussually go to Carvoeiro in the summertime. I really enjoy reading what you say about Carvoeiro and Portugal, because it makes me really proud of my country. Hope everyone enjoys this little town as much as I do. I'm going this Friday to spend two weeks there. I'm going with my parents, so if anyone's alone or with it's parents, we could get together.

Just returned from a fantastic holiday in Carvoeiro staying at Casa Cuba in the village. Whilst there we saw the problem the village has with stray dogs and we have decided to adopt 2 dogs called Jack and Daniella. They reside on the main street and every evening can be found outside the Carvoeiro Bar and Maximes Restaurant as the owners are looking after them and also supporting us in bringing them back to England. If you see the dogs one is tan and the other black and tan, please give them some love and if you would like to help in any way then please speak to John at Maximes restaurant or contact me on martinam@blueyonder.co.uk.

To all dog lovers - We have just returned from Carvoeiro and we are trying to bring back 2 street dogs to England. The people at Maximes restaurant and the Carveoiro bar are looking after them just now and helping us make the necessary arrangements. Hi.......... if anyone who reads this and can get to the Algarve Book Cellar at the start of the oneway system into Carvoeiro....please call in and say hello to Ray .my husband who is there all on his own for the next 8 weeks! till 24th August while I'm over in the UK. he doesn't know that I've got access to email/internet here so it'll be a nice surprise for him!
