Take it from me, it's an easy drive from faro to carvoeiro, so don't worry! You'll get there eventually. ( If you are driving in the wrong direction just follow the signs "portugal" ).

Returned from 2 weeks in Carvoeiro last Saturday (our 2nd visit) Weather greatly improved 2nd week - about 27 degrees when we left. Would recommend Happy's to eat - superb food, excellent value - one word of warning though - you do need to book. Bistroquet we found quite expensive this yearand not particularly good value for money. also had to wait 40minutes for one course! Overall all a brilliant holiday as last year.

Going to Carvoeiro in September. Never been before but it sounds great. The only problem is we are driving from Faro airport and after reading the Driving instructions on this website i'm getting a little worried. Has anybody else driven to Carvoeiro from Faro? How was it?

Hi, in Deutsch, Wir haben die letzte Woche in Carvoeiro verbracht. Tolles Wetter, nette Bevölkerung, Wasser hatte schon angenehme Temperatur ( für weibliche Pinguine) Frage: Wo waren die Wellen?. Selbst in Sagres stilles Wasser (wie am Chiemsee). Zu empfehlen ein Frühstück über dem Hauptplatz von C. Bar und Cafe Matabo (oder so ähnlich). H + P.

Have just returned from Carvoeiro, weather not too good at the start of the two weeks but greatly improved after a couple of days. Spent my 76th Birthday there, had a celebratiopn dinner at the "O Canthino" restaurent, half way up the hill. Excellent service, staff and food and all at a very reasonable price. Thoroughly reccomended. Zoo Marine well worth a visit especially if you have young children, one price to pay for entrance, from then there are no extra cahrges except for food and drink, ice creams etc.

Have been to Carvoeiro 4 times in the last 2 years. Almansor Hotel is great and the management and staff especially Maria and Joao always look after us very well. Wouldn't go anywhere else! Best restaurant for us is Chef Antonios - his garlic fried prawns are worth the visit. We are a group of four Irish Families with 11 children between us. Would definately reccommend Carvoeiro for a holiday.

Hi there, We had a great holiday again in Carvoeiro, went horseriding, swimming (I did jump in the sea, brrrr) and a lovely food and drinks. we think "A Gale" is one of the best restaurants to go at this moment. Well, hope to come back in September !!

Hi, a great site - I believe these community sites are going to become more and more common and necessary in the Internet age. It helps to bring things together in a logical way. Great look to the website! Looking forward to the summer when we're back for our third year. Can anybody tell us where "Villa do Cerro" is? (Not "Casa do Cerro" - that's apparently a different property!) One thing about the visitors gets up my nose though. Just had a week in Carveiro,stayed at the Carvaeiro Sol hotel.Excellent. Highlights for eating Ele,Ela Mitch's and Braco. Oasis deserves a high mention too. Bars...Jailhouse for entertainment,Matabixo for relaxing late afternoon on sun roof and Carveiro Bar for good inexpensive cocktails.I'm a Brit but thank god for the Dutch and German who know how to run bars and restaurants. For people wanting to know about Monte Carvoeiro - We've stayed in Monte Carvoeiro Apartments (1 bed & 2 bed)several times. They are lovely and well furnished etc - best we've stayed in! Maids were lovely too. Wish we were there now! Jo
