I know its sad but I'm a very big footie fan & looking forward to the World Cup! During the 1st week of the tournament I'll be in Carvoeiro(5th time). I read recently that the Portugese TV company haven't secured the TV rights yet & therefore the games will not be televised in Portugal. Does anyone know what the current situation is - if the games are being televised (especially Eng. v Arg.) also have any of the bars in Carvoeiro made plans to televise it on a 'big screen? Thanks in anticipation Hugh

A fantastic site, I have only just found it after booking my accomodation elsewhere. I am arriving on Saturday for 10 days and staying in the village. I live in Madeira where today it is warm and sunny, hope the weather is good there?! My 25th visit to the Algarve, 3rd to Carvoeiro, I quite like it!!!! Looking forward to Saturday, cannot wait!!

Nice site with interesting content. Found the link http://www.waddybear.com/ from the message board and intersting compliment to this site with its pictures and a few short stories. They have a sort of guest book also.

We have stayed on ADM several times and are actually looking at buying a property there at the moment. It is a nice development and you can walk to the top of estrada do farol in about 15 minutes. I hope you enjoy your stay.

AREIAS DOS MOINHOS.

We are planning on booking our 5th holiday to Carvoeiro. In the past we have stayed at Monte Carvoeiro & really enjoyed the accomodation & its location, unfortunatly it is alrady booked for the weeks we are considering.

We have been offered alternative accomodation at Areias Dos Moinhos, but we don't know anything about the area. Is it walking distance to the town etc ??

My Girlfriend and I have just returned from a two week holiday in Carvoeiro. I highly recommend the "Round up Saloon", superb laugh, brilliant people and music.

Stay away from Via Italia and Italian restaurant above Smilers bar, the food was disgusting (made me sick!) and the service was even worse. The woman their made us almost feel guilty for complaining about their disgusting excuse for food!

Charly's bar was also very good and very friendly, we shall have to go back in the Summer some time for the full effect.
